Photography is for everyone — regardless of experience or equipment. If your camera mostly sits in a drawer, or your best camera is your phone, a lesson with me is the gentlest possible way to start. Phone or camera. Any level. No silly questions.

Andy is a Yorkshire photographer with a background in wedding photography and fine art monochrome printing. His work focuses on portraits and candid street moments — the true essence of people in their expressions, gestures and the atmosphere around them.
He founded The Street Photographers to share the craft the way he learned it — out walking, camera ready, paying attention. He leads walks and lessons across Leeds, Knaresborough, York, Whitby and beyond, mixing technical guidance with the patience street work demands.
No settings-first, jargon-heavy lessons. A simple, repeatable way to look properly, get out there, take the picture, and talk honestly about what you expected versus what happened.

Group walks meet in the centre of Leeds or Knaresborough — the exact spot is on each booking. We walk for two hours, we talk about what we're looking at and why we're drawn to it, and how to turn instinct into an image.
Then you go home with pictures you're proud of, and a lot more confidence than you arrived with.
