The Street Photographers is Andy Ainsworth, a photographer and photography tutor based in Harrogate, Yorkshire, running photowalks, weddings, portraits and teaching. For anything about your information, email thestreetphotographers.uk@gmail.com. We are the data controller for the information described here.
We do not sell your information, and we do not send marketing you didn't ask for.
We run our own Facebook Page and Instagram account for The Street Photographers, and we use Meta's official tools to publish our own posts — announcements, photos from walks (shared with permission), and tips. We do not collect, store or process personal information about people who like, comment on or follow those posts beyond the general, aggregated figures Meta shows every page owner. Your use of Facebook and Instagram is also governed by Meta's own privacy policy.
A few trusted services help us run things. They only handle what they need to, and only to provide their service:
We keep booking and financial records for as long as the law requires (currently six years for tax), and other information only for as long as we need it. Photographs used publicly stay up until you ask us to take yours down.
You can ask us to show you what we hold, correct it, or delete it, and you can withdraw consent for your photos or review at any time. Just email thestreetphotographers.uk@gmail.com and we'll sort it. You also have the right to complain to the UK's Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
This website keeps things simple — it remembers your light or dark theme choice in your own browser, and nothing more invasive. Our hosting may keep basic, anonymous logs to keep the site running and secure.
If this policy changes, we'll update the date at the top. Any significant change we'll flag clearly.
